According to Dannii Minogue, “Size matters”. Clothing size that is! The pint-sized Australian sweetheart has once again joined forces with everyone’s favourite department store to release the latest range from the Dannii Minogue Petites collection for Target.
Playing breakfast host to a room full of Melbourne’s favourite bloggers in the Olsen Hotel’s John Olsen Penthouse, Dannii took to the stage, or should I say breakfast table, to introduce her latest collaboration with Target.
Finding inspiration in her own struggles to find clothes that fit, for a long time Dannii lamented over sleeves and pants that were too long, and waistlines that sat in the completely wrong position on her petite frame. Sick of having her alterations lady on speed dial, Dannii discovered a gap in the market that needed to be filled and thus the Petites range was born.
Curvier gals like me, don’t let the ‘petite’ part scare you off! The Petites range is offered in size’s 4-16, with more of a focus on the ever important ‘critical fit’ and proportions, rather than actual size.
Talking fabrics, colours and fit over a decadent breakfast table, beautifully adorned with stunning flowers and food, Dannii’s passion for the project was palpable, saying, “I know the joy other women like me will have discovering clothes that FIT.”
With plans to release pyjamas for Mother’s Day – “It’s depressing having to roll up the legs of pyjama pants” – and currently working well in advance on the 17th collection in the Dannii for Target range, we see big things on the horizon for this little lady!
